Starbucks… ahhhhh

Hi Friends, So, I took my mom to Starbucks today and have a little Starbucks story for you.  It started out with us sitting on the patio underneath the shade of an umbrella and visiting with friends.  It's a great place to visit but you may want to let your parents know that we little one's can scooch (that's 'wiggle underneath' here in the South) under the fence surrounding the patio perimeter.  My mom knows this because as she was visiting, I 'scooched' underneath the fence and was standing in the drive-thru when she looked up!  Well, you know what happened next... the yank on the leash, the scolding (which consisted of, Daisy, NO) followed by the obligatory kisses.  It's all good, I got some ice cold water out of it and a pat on the head from the Starbucks girl! Memorial Day Fun

Hi Friends, Finally, a long weekend!!  It's a great time to take our humans on vacation, or staycation even.  There is lots of energy in the air, picnic's, Frisbee throwing and food... lots of food!  However, along with holiday festivities come holiday crowds.  Moreso than usual so it's very important to remind our parents to keep an extra eye on our safety.  If we take our parents hiking, let's remember to take lots of water, for them AND us.  If we are taking them walking on a trail, it's very important to watch for bicyclist's, they sometimes don't slow down. By just paying a little extra attention to detail, we can thwart a dangerous situation and indeed have a great holiday weekend. Please don't forget the reason behind the holiday and keep those flags flying high! Your Friend, Daisy … [Read more...]

Happy Monday

Hi Friends, I hope that your weekend was as enjoyable as mine.  My mom and I  met some friends at Starbucks on Saturday and hung out on the patio. With all the nice weather that we are having it would have been a shame not to get out in it! But alas, it's Monday... again!  The start of a new work week for most, which means new activities, plans and the regular hustle and bustle of everyday life.  It's important to remind our humans that they need to find some time in the day to take us on a walk, run or even to the dog park.  Even if it's just for a short spell, it's better than not going out at all.  And don't forget that we love to play with our toys, whatever they may be, big or small.  If it's raining at your house then maybe you and your humans can play fetch in the house.  We LOVE the attention we get from our humans!! Have a happy Monday ! Your Friend, Daisy … [Read more...]
